Our Mission
Our mission is to reduce the impact and burden of major global health challenges by applying integrated, system-based approaches. We focus on:
One health to sustainably balance and optimize the health of humans, animals, plants and ecosystems.
Global Health Security (GHS) to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious diseases with a specific emphasis on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).
Our Vision
HIPPOS aims to enhance the resilience of communities, local and regional organizations, and governments by strengthening individuals, projects, programs, and systems to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious diseases (IDs), non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and cross-cutting health priorities. HIPPOS seeks to connect innovative solutions with state-of-the-art knowledge, ensuring that communities and organizations can access and adopt these advancements.
HIPPOS also aims to connect a strong bridge between innovations and implementation through Systems Thinking and Design.
